I awoke at 5am that morning with the intent of going out on a photo adventure. I was driving to pick up my friend who was to accompany me when I noticed the fog settling in between the mountains. Despite knowing I would be late to officially start my day, I was so moved and inspired by the calm, early morning fog that I decided to pull the car over. I always have several costumes in my car, and when I saw that fog I knew just what to do: I pulled on my favorite handmade blue dress, ran out into the fog, and snapped some pictures. The scene came together in my mind like a dream, and so I titled the image "Chasing Childhood" as a throwback to the childlike way I threw aside my plans and focused on the beautiful moment unfolding.
